FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- What is Snagia?
- Snagia is an AI shopping agent. You describe what you want to buy in plain language, Snagia asks a few questions and builds a plan, then watches supported retailers around the clock for a price worth taking. You approve every charge.
- Can I use Snagia just to find deals or get alerts, without it buying anything?
- Yes. You choose how far Snagia goes for each task. It can only find and show you deals, notify you when a deal worth taking turns up or a price drops, or buy within your limits. Notify-only mode never buys.
- Can Snagia spend my money without asking?
- Not without limits you set. Every purchase passes through an approval step, and no charge is ever made above the per-purchase cap you choose. Auto-buy is an optional mode that only buys at or below your cap, and it is still subject to the same cap and receipt rules.
- Can Snagia buy things for me today?
- Snagia is launching in stages. Today it finds and tracks deals and brings them to you for approval. Buying with a card on file is being switched on gradually, and every purchase will still need your approval and stay under your cap.
- What is the per-purchase cap?
- A hard ceiling on any single purchase. Snagia rejects any charge above it, whatever the buy mode and however good the deal looks.
- How do I know what Snagia bought?
- Every purchase files an entry with a receipt reference in your activity feed. That feed is your record that you approved each charge.
- What happens if I approve the same deal twice?
- Nothing extra. Approval is idempotent: approving a deal that has already been settled does not charge you a second time.
- How does Snagia make money?
- Snagia is free to use. When you buy through a link we surface, the retailer may pay us a small affiliate commission. It never changes the price you pay, and we disclose it wherever a purchase is proposed.
- Does Snagia sell my data or train AI on what I buy?
- No. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising, and what you ask Snagia to buy is never used to train AI models. Usage analytics are off unless you turn them on, and you can download or delete everything we hold about you in the app.
- Does Snagia store my card number?
- No. Card details are handled by Stripe, and Snagia only sees the card brand and the last four digits.
- Which retailers does Snagia check?
- Snagia only uses retailers' official APIs and affiliate programs, never scraping. The retailers that are live at any time are shown in the app, and the list grows as integrations are added.
- Is Snagia available on mobile?
- Snagia works in the browser at app.snagia.com, and there is a mobile app for iOS in development.
